This issue is technically part of #2 but IMO it makes sense to separate it for tracking purposes and to make following the progress easier.
@anthonylavado commented on GitHub (Dec 23, 2018):
So, adding myself to this, as I can currently build both from source, as well as packages that are "self contained deployments" for macOS.
I was able to do this both from my own personal 10.14.2 Mojave system, as well as from Debian Stretch. In theory, we should be able to get the package built on our Debian hardware (cc @joshuaboniface), and it should work.
Also awaiting direction from #87.
@joshuaboniface commented on GitHub (Jan 20, 2019):
@anthonylavado @LeoVerto With the new build framework, we are building a self-contained MacOS
tararchive, so I imagine a real package is a simple extension to that?@anthonylavado commented on GitHub (Jan 25, 2019):
@joshuaboniface The end goal is a .app that users can run, with an icon in the tray, and the server hidden in the background. Just like original upstream.
@anthonylavado commented on GitHub (Feb 2, 2019):
For clarity, I'm gonna close this, and re-open with the proper template and goals.
