Description of the bug

I use Parental Controls "Allow Items with Tags" to manually allow movies and shows for a child - I do not use age ratings. Since upgrading to 10.11.X, half watched show episodes will not appear in the "Continue Watching" section of the home screen. Movies are unaffected and will appear in 'Continue Watching'. In case this was related to the upgrade process, I performed a fresh install but the issue persists.

If I remove the tag from "Allow Items with Tags" all the show episodes will appear. If I put the tag back, they will disappear again.

Reproduction steps

  1. Assign a show a tag
  2. Add that tag to parental controls: "allow items with tags".
  3. Sign Out/In
  4. Part-watched episodes will not appear in Home Screan 'Continue watching' section.
  5. Remove tag from parental controls: "Allow items with tags"
  6. Sign Out/In
  7. Part-watched episodes will be present in the 'Continue Watching' section

What is the current bug behavior?

part-watched shows are missing from 'Continue Watching' home section

What is the expected correct behavior?

part-watched show episodes with allowed tags are present in the continue watching section
