Description of the bug

After changing trickplay setting and regenerating all Trickplay Files, I now have duplicated trickplay files in my Jellyfin installation. In the data/data/trickplay directory there are now two folders in every subdirectory:

  | 320 - 10x10
  | 500 - 10x10

I would expect the old trickplay files to be deleted after the new files have been generated. They are obsolete and are taking up unnecessary space.

Note: Trickplay files are not located next to media files. I would understand that old trickplay files wouldn't be deleted if they are next to media files (since they could be used by another Jellyfin instance), but they are within the container.

Reproduction steps

  1. Generate Trickplay images with some settings
  2. Change Trickplay settings to a different resolution
  3. Generate Trickplay images again

What is the current bug behavior?

Duplicated Trickplay files

What is the expected correct behavior?

Old Trickplay files should be deleted
