Per documentation, I have installed a custom poster.jpg in a movie directory. However, It is not displayed. The original poster which was installed from the original scan continues to be displayed. To reproduce, install a custom poster.jpg and observe that it is not used. Installed as follows (where poster.jpg is my custom Jaws poster:

/movie-library/Jaws/
    Jaws.mkv
    poster.jpg

I need to install custom posters for all my titles, so it is crucial that I get this to work.

Thanks!

Tested, and this still works. Make sure you refresh the metadata afterwards to veiw changes.

Thank you for the quick reply! Under "My Media" -> "Movies" I click "Refresh metadata". Just to test, I select "Replace all metadata". I see "Replace existing images" and "Replace existing trickplay images". Both are unchecked. Then I click "Refresh" at the bottom and it pops up: "Refresh queued"

It has been over 5 minutes and still the poster.jpg image is not displayed. The log says:

[2025-05-05 18:43:51.697 -06:00] [INF] [41] MediaBrowser.MediaEncoding.Encoder.MediaEncoder: Starting "ffprobe" with args "-analyzeduration 200M -probesize 1G -i file:\"/mnt/bluray/Paddington in Perù (2024)/Paddington in Perù (2024) .mkv UHDRip 2160p E-AC3 iTA Dolby TrueHD 7.1 AC3 ENG DV HDR10 x265 - FHC.mkv\" -threads 0 -v warning -print_format json -show_streams -show_chapters -show_format"

If I use "Scan for new and updated files", the log says:

[2025-05-05 18:47:38.684 -06:00] [INF] [41] Emby.Server.Implementations.IO.LibraryMonitor: "Paddington in Perù (2024)" ("/mnt/bluray/Paddington in Perù (2024)") will be refreshed.

In neither case, does the image update to my custom poster. The poster is readable by all.

What am I missing?

P.S. For testing purposes, the whole library includes only the dir: /mnt/bluray/Paddington in Perù (2024)
which contains the .mkv and poster.jpg (is that a problem?)

OK, my P.S. above was the problem. Apparently the movie has to be in a subfolder. Once I copies the folder Jaws into /movies/bluray/test then recreated the library from scratch using folder /movies/bluray/test
it worked. Sorry I didn't realize my error to begin with and thank you again your your support!
