Description of the bug

when I filter my library on favorites, I don't see all my favorites:

  • in my collection I have many movies marked as favorites, more than hundrer I think
  • when I use "favorites" menu on top, I see only 27
  • I tried to add two: still 27 in favorites menu
  • when I use filtering system and "favorite" there, I see 29, the 27 from top menu "favorites", and the two I recently added.
    also when I filter on 4k, I doesn't filter any movie, i see all my movies, including 720p or sd for instance

I think two issues may be connected, as it's both filtering issue.
Using latest version of server (docker package on synology) and of windows client

Reproduction steps

  1. add movies to favorites
  2. check favorites menu, or filter on favorite
  3. both lists do not show all favorites

What is the current bug behavior?

favorites are missing from favorites lists
all movies appears when filtered on 4k

What is the expected correct behavior?

all favorites appears in favorites lists
only 4k movies appears when filtered on 4k

EDIT: actually it seems the problem is that my favorites get lost.

Yesterday I added 6 movies to favorites, today they are not in favorites anymore.

If I bring up one of the missing file's detail view, it will still show up as being favorited, but it doesn't appear in the filter.

It seemed to happen after I re-scanned the library with the "search for missing metadata" option.

I think I am experiencing a variation of this bug, too.

If I navigate this way, no content will load:

  • Click on 'Favorites' up top on home page.
  • on this page, where it shows the Favorites grouped into Movies and Shows, content will still load. But only most of the Favorites. Some favorites are not shown.

It's not for me, on 10.10.5. Even after doing a "replace metadata" scan on the library, most of my favorites are still not in the filtered list.

For some reason the TypedBaseItems.UserDataKey and the UserDatas.keys got out of sync. For example:

NFO is off, off, off. Killed with fire.

If I 'Favorite/Heart' an episode for any TV Show then it will always appear in the EPISODES section of the Favorites tab on the Home screen (both Chrome and IOS).

If I 'Favorite/Heart' a Season or a TV Show then it MIGHT appear in the Favorites tab on the Home screen (both Chrome and IOS). Some shows do appear, other shows do NOT appear.

Happy to provide logs etc. if you tell me where to look. I have no working knowledge of Jellyfin internals.
