Please describe your bug

When Installing on Noble 24.04 , trying to install the server i get this error.

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
jellyfin : Depends: jellyfin-ffmpeg5 (>= 5.0.0) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
ERROR: Failed to install Jellyfin. Use https://jellyfin.org/contact to find us for troubleshooting.

It does prompt that jellyfin-ffmpeg6 can be installed. But even after installing that script still fails.

Reproduction Steps

What I've done

  • Fresh 24.04 Cloud-init VM on Proxmox
  • This was part of a script i made and it failed along with running by itself.
  • I installed jellyfin-ffmpeg6 to see if this would work, but installer still failed.

Jellyfin Version

10.8.13

#11490

Ahh I see thanks. Will 10.9 have support for noble. I was confused when i read the script and it showed it had support for noble. Thanks for the headup.
