Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?

Add FreeBSD support
Since #95 is done, would it just be a matter of adding a build script (#335)?
This would be a first step to get a Freenas plugin (#346)
@horizonbrave commented on GitHub (Apr 21, 2019):
looking forward to it, thanks!
@onny commented on GitHub (Aug 13, 2019):
Of course this depends on having dotnet core running on FreeBSD and it seems there is some progress to get it supported: https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/issues?q=freebsd+label%3Aos-freebsd
Instructions on how to build it (maybe outdated): https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/wiki/Building-.NET-Core--2.x-on-FreeBSD
More up to date instruction for dotnet 3.0 beta https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/wiki/Building-.NET-Core-3.x-on-FreeBSD
Would be interesting how Jellyfin behaves with this build and what we still have to fix to get it working
Here's the main issue for FreeBSD in the corefx repo: https://github.com/dotnet/corefx/issues/1626
@amarshall commented on GitHub (Sep 25, 2020):
The corefx repo has been moved, so the links above are now: tickets labelled os-freebsd and main ticket. The “old” instructions seem to still to be the most up-to-date (but are inaccessible); there’s a ticket for rewriting them.
@srcrist commented on GitHub (Oct 7, 2023):
Closing this issue as it does not contain a Jellyfin bug. I have taken the liberty of migrating this proposal to the feature request site at https://features.jellyfin.org/posts/2367/freebsd-support where it can be further monitored and discussed.
